Strong brands use event backdrops to increase brand awareness with their target market.

What’s the Difference Between a Banner and a Backdrop

Despite what you may have heard when events managers interchange the words, there are distinct differences between backdrops and banners.

A Backdrop is fabric installed a frame, providing an opportunity for a photo shoot, or to use as a backing to your booth.

In branding, a backdrop is a powerful way to attract attention at a promotional event. It can be used in any event or trade show booth or as a media background to create a red-carpet appearance (ever notice how those celebrity red-carpet pictures always have the sponsor’s logo on the backdrop?).

Just as in the theatre, there are unlimited graphic possibilities from full-digital photographic to step and repeat designs.

Sizes vary depending on what design you choose, from 62 inches wide by 42 inches high through 118 inches wide by 89 inches high. The only compromise you might need to make is if there are restrictions on the size of your space. Despite their large size, brand recognition backdrops are installed easily.

A Banner, according to the dictionaries, refers to “a long strip of cloth bearing a symbol, logo, slogan or other message, hung in a public place or carried in a demonstration or procession”.

Here, banners are great marketing tools to promote brand awareness with full-digital graphic imaging. With way better to promote your brand than with a durable, simple hanging cloth. Today’s modern branding banners are made of curl free vinyl or premium fabric.

The simplicity of their set up is an appealing drawcard as well, whether you select a hanging, roll up, or retractable model. Choose from a range of styles according to your needs and your budget.
